• Thread Guard Protectors
  • Pipe Packaging Systems
  • BUMPER RING

TGT protectors are designed for use with standard API compounds as well as premium gas-tight joints in every climatic zone of the world. Coupling and integral joint connections are reliably protected against corrosion and mechanical damage during transport to the place of use. TGT protectors meet all mechanical, thermal and chemical requirements according to the current API 5CT annex I (latest revision).

Available Protectors

  • TGT-PV:  heavy duty pure “high-density” plastic protectors

(available from 1,66” up to 7”)

  • TGT-E:   Economy version of the steel-plastic composite protectors with an excellent price / performance ratio

(available from 2 3/8“ up to 7“)

  • TGT-S:   Premium version of the steel-plastic composite protectors for highest demands in the casing area

(available from 5 ½“ up to 26“)

The protectors are available in the following versions:

  • OE          -> open end
  • OED       -> open end with defined driftdiameter
  • CENL     -> closed end non-liftable
  • CEL        -> closed end liftable (suitable for hook loading)

Due to our decades of experience in the development and production of OCTG protectors and our versatile machinery, we are able to meet the latest and future requirements for thread protection. If you are planning new developments, please contact us. Our experienced research & development department will find solutions together with you.

TGT’s PREMIUM PPS® is one of the strongest and most stable bundling systems for the transport and storage of pipes.

TGT uses its patented wedge design as support surfaces for the tubes. It is thus possible to combine different pipe diameters with the same segments. TGT’s PREMIUM PPS® covers the range from 2 3/8 “to 13 5/8” with only six different segment sizes.

 Available sizes & ranges

Type I 2 3/8“ up to 3 ½“
Type II 4“ up to 5 ½“
Type III 6 5/8“ up to 8 5/8“
Type IV 9 5/8“ up to 10 ¾“
Type V 13 3/8“ up to 13 5/8“
Type VI (special size) 11 ¾“

Key figures of TGT’s PREMIUM PPS®

  • Versatile wedge design of the support segments
  • 4 point support of the individual tubes
  • HDPE fully encapsulated, powder coated steel I-beam
  • Forged clamping hooks guarantee absolutely stable clamping and also a homogeneous bundle without bending or twisting during loading or transport
  • Loading with slings or forklift possible – no “Lifting eyes” necessary
  • Low logistics costs due to the small number of different segments and extremely long shelf life
  • Personalization by customer logo on segments possible

Bumper rings are used to protect against mechanical damage during transport or loose storage of pipes.
The rings are made of HDPE. Through the use of high-quality HDPE and the design of the ring profile, a very high resistance to mechanical stress in a wide temperature range is achieved.
Bumper Rings are currently manufactured in sizes from 5 ½ “to 20”.Other sizes are available according to customer requirements.
We recommend the use of at least three rings per tube.
